Bitches Be Trippin (2014)

Presented at III Points Festival (2014), Bitches B Trippin expanded on Haiiileen’s immersive art practice through a kaleidoscopic environment of light, sound, and transformation.
The installation became an early embodiment of her signature philosophy — that art should be lived, felt, and entered. Through humor, energy, and reflection, the piece invited audiences to step into a multi-dimensional sensory trip, merging Miami nightlife with conceptual art.

Bitches B Trippin (2014) marked the next evolution in Haiiileen’s immersive art practice, following the success of her debut Aileen’s Aliens (2013). Presented at III Points Festival, the work transformed a raw event space into a psychedelic performance environment, merging color, light, fashion, and sound into one experiential ecosystem.

The installation blurred the boundaries between party and performance, inviting the audience into a hypnotic world of reflective textures, neon environments, and participatory expression. The title — bold, humorous, and self-aware — challenged perceptions of femininity, chaos, and the surreal through the lens of Miami’s underground music and art culture.

Through layered lighting, projections, and immersive staging, Haiiileen created a visual symphony that captured her growing command over site-based transformation and audience sensory manipulation. The piece served as a pivotal experiment in creating multi-sensory spaces, setting the stage for her later conceptual environments like Hypnotic (2016), Art House (2015–2019), and LightScapes (2018–2019).

“This was when I stopped designing around people — and started designing worlds for them to lose themselves in.”
