In 2018, Haiiileen debuted Sunset @ Noon — a multi-room performance installation commissioned by III Points for Art Week Miami at Magic City Studios.
The large-scale work transformed the industrial space into a prismatic dreamscape, merging color, geometry, and human movement into an emotional narrative about paradox and awakening — what happens when sunset meets noon, and opposites harmonize through art.

Title: sunset @ Noon (2018) — Multi-Room Performance Installation by Haiiileen
- Artist / Creative Director: Haiiileen
- Commissioned by: III Points
- Location: Magic City Studios, Miami, FL
- Medium: Immersive Installation | Performance | Multi-Sensory Environment
- Year: 2016
Description
Sunset @ Noon was a multi-room installation and performance designed to immerse viewers in the dualities of time, energy, and perception. Each room represented a phase of chromatic and emotional transformation — from the radiant warmth of solar orange to the deep resonance of midnight violet.
The installation combined custom LED architecture, reflective floors, and projection-mapped portals with live performers who interacted with the environment through slow, hypnotic choreography. The audience became part of a living narrative, moving through phases of light as if through consciousness itself.
“I wanted people to experience color as time — to feel the sunset happening inside them.” — Haiiileen
Conceptual Framework
- Temporal Paradox: Reversing the logic of daylight to explore emotional duality.
- Light as Emotion: Using color gradients to express inner states of calm, conflict, and release.
- Architecture of Feeling: Designing environments as living mirrors of human experience.
- Synesthetic Ritual: Combining sound, performance, and light into a multisensory meditation.
Installation Components
- Four interconnected rooms symbolizing morning, noon, dusk, and twilight.
- Projection-mapped portals with animated geometric transitions.
- LED and mirrored structures producing refracted gradients.
- Live performance choreography synchronized to ambient sound frequencies.
- Fashion elements and wearable art designed by Haiiileen to echo the chromatic flow of the installation.
Artist Reflection
“Sunset @ Noon was a portal — an exploration of rhythm and stillness. It was about collapsing day into night and realizing they’re made of the same light.”
This project deepened Haiiileen’s evolution from fashion-based aesthetics into spatial storytelling, combining movement, design, and emotion into a unified sensory field.
Archival Significance
- Commissioned by III Points as part of Art Week Miami’s immersive art program.

- Connects directly to Interdimensional Baths (2016) and Aqua (2018) as part of the “Sound + Light Movement Studies.”
- Early manifestation of the artist’s “neo-prismatic world-building” philosophy.
- Precursor to HAIII on Society (2020) — bridging performance and installation into full immersive ecosystems.
