As part of the immersive Haiii on Society (2020) exhibition commissioned by PMG Properties, Haiii on Art (2020) expanded Haiiileen’s interdisciplinary language through a series of photographic environments and reflective portrait studies.
Blending performance, photography, and installation, this series served as the conceptual thread connecting the visual worlds of Orbit, Hypnotiiic, and Neo-Aciiid. Each composition acted as a reflective portal — translating the energy of light-based sculptures into still imagery that captures their emotional resonance.

Description
Haiii on Art (2020) is a photographic and conceptual series that examines the relationship between artist, subject, and environment. Created within the immersive rooms of Haiii on Society, these works capture the vibrational essence of the installations through staged compositions, chromatic light, and reflective surfaces.
The photographs depict models, mirrors, and materials interacting within the sculptural environments — transforming the documentation process into an extension of the artwork itself. The result is a multi-layered archive of movement, light, and emotional geometry.
“Each image was a conversation with my own environments — they became living portraits of the frequencies I build.” — Haiiileen
Conceptual Framework
- Immersive Documentation: Redefining photography as a participatory act rather than passive observation.
- Perceptual Extension: Translating three-dimensional installation energy into two-dimensional reflection.
- Synesthetic Imagery: Using color, light, and contrast to map emotional and sensory states.
- Identity + Space: Exploring self-portraiture through environmental design and sensory experience.
Installation Components
- A curated selection of large-format prints taken inside Haiii on Society installations.
- LED-integrated wall design displaying looping projections of photographic sequences.
- Archival pigment prints mounted on plexi with reflective backing.
- Chromatic lighting environment that unified the series with the spatial rhythm of the full exhibition.
Presented alongside Orbit, Micro Haiii, Hypnotiiic, Haiii Light, and Neo-Aciiid, Haiii on Art served as the visual and conceptual documentation hub of the exhibition — a bridge between the ephemeral and the eternal.
Artist Reflection
“Photography has always been my portal for memory — a way to frame the energy that moves through my installations. In Haiii on Art, I wasn’t capturing my work; I was conversing with it.”
Haiii on Art (2020) is where documentation becomes creation — a shift from archival imagery to emotional storytelling. It stands as one of Haiiileen’s most personal and transformative explorations, setting the foundation for later projects like Haiii on Art: Japan (2019), Haiii on Art: Peru (2025), and Haiii on Bogota (2025).
Archival Significance
- Serves as the conceptual and photographic core of the Haiii on Society (2020) exhibition.
- Demonstrates Haiiileen’s integration of installation, fashion, and portraiture within one framework.
- Established the “Haiii on Art” series as a global photographic continuum.
- Documents the emotional language of immersive art through reflective composition.
- Acts as a transitional body between Haiii on Society and Haiii on Art International Editions (2017–2025).

“In light, I find language. In reflection, I find truth. Haiii on Art is how I speak to my environments — and how they speak back.”
