Commissioned by PMG Properties as part of Haiii on Society (2020), Micro Haiii is a reflective installation composed of small-scale geometric light forms that merge the boundaries between object, architecture, and perception.
Each micro-sculpture serves as a fragment of the larger visual ecosystem of Haiii on Society, acting as a vibrational echo of the surrounding works like Orbit, Haiii Light, and Hypnotiiic. Through repetition and reflection, Micro Haiii explores how small-scale interventions can generate large-scale sensory experiences.

Description
Micro Haiii (2020) is a modular installation made up of hand-carved reflective sculptures designed to capture, refract, and multiply light. These miniature mirrored forms, suspended and clustered across architectural surfaces, created a living constellation of color that evolved with the viewer’s movement.
The piece embodies Haiiileen’s ongoing fascination with microcosmic design — how the smallest reflective gesture can alter entire environments. It’s a study in subtlety and perception: an art form built on shimmer, silence, and the language of reflection.
“Sometimes the smallest reflection holds the biggest vibration.” — Haiiileen
Conceptual Framework
- Microcosmic Scale: Exploring how small reflective structures can carry expansive emotional impact.
- Optical Multiplicity: Fragmenting perception through repetition and diffraction.
- Synesthetic Design: Translating vibration and light frequency into tangible architectural detail.
- Spatial Harmony: Designing installation micro-units that respond to environmental illumination.
Installation Components
- Embedded LED nodes producing rhythmic glows of warm and cool light.
- Resin-sealed reflective surfaces amplifying color diffusion.
- Hanging and surface-mounted formations designed to mirror the architecture of the gallery.
- Integrated alongside Orbit, Haiii Light, Hypnotiiic, Neo-Aciiid, and Haiii on Art within the PMG Haiii on Society exhibition.
Artist Reflection
“Micro Haiii taught me that scale doesn’t define impact — light does. Each reflection was a small universe, mirroring the world it was in.”
This piece represented a deeper technical exploration of precision, geometry, and the emotional architecture of space. It was a turning point for Haiiileen’s approach to installation, marking the beginning of her study into modular systems — concepts later developed into “Spectral Resonance (2024)” and “Solar Portals (2025)”.
Archival Significance
- Introduced Haiiileen’s micro-sculptural practice within immersive installation art.
- Functioned as the reflective connective tissue of the Haiii on Society exhibition.
- Demonstrated advanced control of light, reflection, and spatial resonance.
- Conceptually bridged the artist’s macro installations (Orbit, LightScapes) with her future fine-detail works.
- One of the earliest examples of her modular reflective language — a technique foundational to later series.

“I wanted each micro-sculpture to feel alive — like it was breathing light back into the room. The idea was that every fragment could hold a world.”
