In 2020, Haiiileen introduced Neo ACIIID: Children — an interactive art project for kids that reimagines light and color as tools for emotional learning.
Through mirrored surfaces, vibrant hues, and playful geometry, this series brings the language of the ACIIID Philosophy into early childhood spaces.
Created during a time of global stillness, Neo ACIIID: Children served as both an educational experiment and a message of hope — proof that imagination and light continue to guide us, even in moments of uncertainty.

Description
Neo ACIIID: Children (2020) expands the ACIIID philosophy into a new realm of play, wonder, and sensory learning.
Created by Haiiileen as part of her Haiii at Home explorations, the series invites children into a world of color, geometry, and reflection — introducing them to the emotional language of light.
Each sculptural element features bright neon tones and mirrored materials designed to respond to touch and movement, sparking curiosity through immersive sensory play.
The project evolved during 2020 as a way to reimagine art engagement for a new generation — blending aesthetics, education, and emotion into one creative experience.
“Neo ACIIID: Children is about remembering the first time we fell in love with color — that sense of awe before we learned to name it.”
Conceptual Framework
- Art as Learning: Encourages tactile and visual interaction as gateways to emotional intelligence.
- Synesthetic Awareness: Introduces children to sensory connections between color, sound, and feeling.
- The ACIIID Philosophy for Youth: Translates the adult conceptual world of Neo ACIIID into playful, accessible forms.
- Sustainability and Imagination: Uses upcycled materials and non-toxic paints to promote environmental awareness.
- Intergenerational Creativity: Bridges Haiiileen’s immersive light environments with the innocence and openness of childhood perception.

“Children already understand color as vibration — they feel it before they see it. This work is about protecting that instinct and giving it a form.”
