Custom sculptural lighting exists at the intersection of art, architecture, and atmosphere—where light is not just functional, but experiential.
Functional sculpture meets vibrational light.
Nu-Wave Lamps are one-of-one sculptural lighting works created by artist Haiiileen, blending fine art, design, and synesthetic perception. Each lamp is hand-formed, hand-painted, and assembled as a living object—designed not only to illuminate space, but to energize it.
Rooted in a synesthetic practice, Haiiileen translates color, sound, memory, and emotional frequency into physical form. The result is light that feels alive. It casts geometric halos and creates reflective patterns. Subtle shifts transform the atmosphere of a room.
These are not mass-produced fixtures.
They are functional artworks, created through a collaborative process between artist and collector.
A Living Collaboration
Nu-Wave Lamps are not selected. They are discovered.
Each custom lamp begins with a conversation—about your space, your intention, and how you want light to feel. Through this dialogue, Haiiileen guides the creation of a sculptural form. This form responds to its environment. It also responds to the energy of the person it lives with.
This is not a fixed object.
A Nu-Wave Lamp may become:
- a sculptural pendant
- a clustered chandelier
- a wall-mounted light object
- or a site-specific installation
Scale, color, glow, texture, and suspension are fluid. The final piece adapts to the architecture and emotional atmosphere it inhabits—role meeting ritual, light becoming language.
The Nu-Wave Signature Form: Wide Umbrella
The current Nu-Wave collection centers around the Wide Umbrella form. It is a sculptural dome designed to refract and diffuse light outward. The light creates layered, dimensional patterns.
This form serves as the foundation for customization. It allows each lamp to stay recognizable as a Nu-Wave work. Each lamp becomes entirely unique through color, scale, finish, and configuration. The Customization Process
