Description
From Miami to Shizuoka, light travels as language.
Haiiileen’s Nu-Wave Lamps make their international debut at ジェイのバートランプ (Jay’s Bar Lamp) in Shizuoka, Japan — a city that beautifully mirrors her love for culture, community, and chromatic design.
This immersive light installation brings Haiiileen’s signature neon aesthetics to Japan for the first time, expanding the artist’s ongoing Haiii at Home and URBAN Chroma series. Supported by Chroma Art Film Festival, Outfront Media USA, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, this exhibition bridges two vibrant creative worlds: the bold energy of Miami and the meditative beauty of Shizuoka.
“Every wavelength carries emotion — from the pink skies of Miami to the glowing nights of Japan.
The Nu-Wave Lamps are how I translate that shared heartbeat of color.”
The Nu-Wave Lamps installation is an interactive constellation of circular neon forms — hypnotic rings of glass, resin, and light that pulsate in gradient motion. Viewers are enveloped in a spectrum of sound and movement, experiencing the visual rhythm that defines Haiiileen’s synesthetic world.
Conceptual Framework

- Eco-Luxury Fabrication: Handcrafted from upcycled acrylic and archival resin, continuing Haiiileen’s sustainable art practice.
- Embodied Movement: Color, motion, and perception interact in real time — a meditative “wave” of sensory connection.
