nu-aciiid-wave (2025)

Commissioned by Blank Canvas Presents for Miami Music Week 2025, Nu-Aciiid Wave Lamps by artist Haiiileen transformed Mana Wynwood into an immersive, color-charged universe.
Building upon her celebrated Nu-Wave Lamp Series, the installation scaled three of her signature reflective lamps into monumental forms, suspended in a field of light, sound, and laser projection.
This work embodies Haiiileen’s lifelong practice of translating vibration into visual form — a synesthetic fusion of music, movement, and light.

Nu-Aciiid Wave Lamps (2025) is a site-specific installation by Haiiileen, commissioned by Blank Canvas Presents for Miami Music Week 2025 at Mana Wynwood.

Expanding her acclaimed Nu-Wave Lamp series, the artist scaled the works into monumental light sculptures — each 26 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep, suspended from the ceiling and integrated with laser projection and reflective motion.

The installation transformed the industrial architecture of Mana Wynwood into a glowing field of color, vibration, and movement. The mirrored surfaces and refracted laser light created a hypnotic landscape, where sound and motion merged into a single optical rhythm — a living embodiment of Haiiileen’s synesthetic philosophy of color and sound as emotional frequency.

“Each lamp became a wave — an expression of color in motion, an acid trip of light and vibration.”

  • Explores scale, light, and sound as dimensional language within architectural space.
  • Extends the Nu-Wave Lamp concept into a site-responsive environment, reflecting the energy of Miami Music Week.
  • Combines industrial materials with ethereal luminosity, reflecting the duality between urban structure and emotional transcendence.
  • Integrates laser projection as a tool for drawing motion into stillness — creating waves of light that move through both form and atmosphere.
  • Embodies the artist’s ongoing practice of transforming everyday materials into portals of perception and synesthetic experience.
  • A milestone in Haiiileen’s Nu-Wave Lamp series, marking its expansion into architectural scale.
  • Represents a synthesis of kinetic sculpture and immersive lighting design.
  • Commissioned installation linking Haiiileen’s art practice to Miami’s music and performance culture.
  • Continues her exploration of frequency, motion, and the optical effect of layered light.
  • Demonstrates the adaptability of the artist’s modular sculptural forms within live event and exhibition contexts.

“For me, these lamps are not objects — they’re frequencies made visible. Each one emits an emotional wavelength that resonates beyond its physical light.”
