Haiii-Light Haiii On Society (2020)

Commissioned by PMG Properties for the Haiii on Society (2020) exhibition, Haiii Light is a chromatic light sculpture exploring reflection, resonance, and human interaction through frequency-based illumination.

Part of the artist’s ongoing research into synesthetic light behavior, Haiii Light (2020) transforms architectural space into a meditative, glowing field where energy and perception meet. Within the Haiii on Society exhibition, it served as a central visual anchor — balancing movement and stillness in an environment designed to evoke transcendence through luminosity.

  • Artist / Creative Director: Haiiileen
  • Commissioned by: PMG Properties for Society Las Olas Living
  • Exhibition: Haiii on Society (2020)
  • Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Year: 2020
  • Medium: Acrylic, mirror, LED lighting, specialty paint, UV resin, stainless steel base

  • Edition of 14 hand formed acrylic panels finished in gradient metallic candy mica paint.

Haiii Light (2020) stands as a study in visual frequency and material harmony. Using layered acrylic, mirrored surfaces, and LED sequencing, Haiiileen created an illuminated sculpture that reacts to its environment, producing gradients of light that shift according to viewer position and ambient reflection.

The work invites audiences to experience light not as decoration, but as dialogue — a kinetic language connecting architecture, body, and emotional response.

As part of Haiii on Society (2020), Haiii Light functioned as a spiritual axis within the exhibition, merging art and design into a single field of perception.

Haiii Light is the soul of the room — the part that breathes when no one’s watching.” — Haiiileen

  • Light as Language: Treating illumination as an emotional vocabulary that transcends visual aesthetics.
  • Synesthetic Design: Translating internal color perception into physical light geometry.
  • Architectural Integration: Embedding art within structure — merging sculpture and spatial design.
  • Energetic Resonance: Exploring how reflected light affects human awareness and mood.
  • Custom-cut mirrored acrylic panels layered to produce reflective diffraction.
  • LED chromatic sequencing programmed to cycle through warm and cool frequencies.
  • UV resin sealing to enhance light refraction and optical depth.
  • Stainless steel base structure designed for stability and durability.
  • Environmental synchronization with ambient lighting across the exhibition rooms.

Positioned as one of the primary focal works of Haiii on Society (2020), Haiii Light was surrounded by companion installations: Orbit, Hypnotiiic, Micro Haiii, Haiii on Art, and Neo-Aciiid.

Haiii Light was a lesson in restraint — about letting light exist for itself, without manipulation. It was one of my first works where I felt like the sculpture was breathing with me.”

The piece marked a turning point in Haiiileen’s practice — from creating light environments to building light as consciousness itself. What began as a design exploration evolved into a meditation on perception, silence, and the language of illumination.

  • Served as the conceptual nucleus of the Haiii on Society (2020) exhibition.
  • Marks Haiiileen’s transition from sculptural design to pure light-based abstraction.
  • Demonstrates early use of programmable chromatic sequences within reflective installations.
  • Continues the lineage of LightScapes (2018–2019) and informs later projects like Spectral Resonance (2024) and Prismatic Queen (2025).
  • A foundational study in the vibrational use of light as emotional architecture.

“Light is emotion in motion. Haiii Light taught me that illumination isn’t what we see — it’s how we feel presence.”
