Created in 2020, Haiiileen’s handwoven art baskets embody the artist’s shift from large-scale installations to intimate, reflective craft.
Part of her ACIIID Series, these limited-edition works were designed during the pandemic as meditative expressions of light and color — each one infused with emotional resonance, tactile care, and synesthetic intention.
ACIIID Home Baskets became vessels of hope and stillness, bridging art, function, and healing energy during a moment of global pause.

Description
Created in late 2020 during the height of the pandemic, ACIIID Home Baskets by Haiiileen emerged as a meditative and productive force — a way to reconnect with creativity and humanity during isolation.
Each basket is handwoven and hand-painted, merging function, ritual, and art. The process became an act of grounding — a slow, intentional rhythm that contrasted the uncertainty of the global moment. Through the ACIIID color palette, the artist reimagined the domestic object as a vessel for healing energy, translating her large-scale conceptual practice into a tactile, human-scale form.
“When the world stopped, I needed to keep moving — not through scale, but through spirit. Each basket was a pulse, a reminder that making is how we breathe.”
Conceptual Framework
- Art as Healing: Created as a meditative response to global uncertainty, turning daily making into emotional alchemy.
- Intimacy of Scale: A shift from public installation to domestic sculpture — bringing light and energy into the home.
- ACIIID Philosophy: Continuation of the ACIIID Series — exploring color, reflection, and chemistry as spiritual language.
- Sustainability & Connection: Each basket reuses existing materials, emphasizing sustainability and emotional durability.
- Community through Craft: Functioned as a participatory art piece, with baskets gifted and sold to collectors as tokens of shared resilience.
Archival Significance
