Strategy, Systems, and Creative Power: A Special Edition of The DiLL
This month’s Locust Late @ The DiLL dives deep into the worlds of strategy, systems, and computer logic — empowering creative minds with tools to build sustainable, future-forward practices. We’re closing out the year with a dynamic double-feature: a business development workshop by interdisciplinary artist + creative tactician Haiiileen, followed by an experimental sonic performance by architect and sound artist Marcelo Ertorteguy.
Artists and attendees of all skill levels are encouraged to #BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) and roll up their sleeves for an interactive, follow-along experience.
Haiiileen: The Art of Strategy — Business Development for Creative Minds
7PM — WORKSHOP
Step inside the world of strategic thinking with artist, cultural strategist, and DiLL alum Haiiileen, whose practice seamlessly bridges art, technology, community building, and visionary systems design.
In this hands-on session, Haiiileen shares the frameworks that power her multifaceted ecosystem — from founding Rainbow Oasiiis to creating the internationally connected Chroma Art Film Festival.
Participants will learn:
✨ How to expand their artistic practice through long-term strategic planning
✨ How to use AI-driven tools for organization, project development, & creative efficiency
✨ Branding frameworks that elevate visibility & identity
✨ Funding navigation + sustainability systems for career growth
✨ How to map your own creative business model based on your goals, values, and capacities
You’ll walk away not only inspired — but equipped with tangible tools and frameworks to turn big ideas into executable pathways.
LIVE PERFORMANCE — Marcelo Ertorteguy
After the workshop, stay for a boundary-pushing performance by architect and sound artist Marcelo Ertorteguy, blending structure, sound, and improvisation into an audiovisual experience that transforms space through resonance and experimental rhythm.
